The ideal, our earth mother. How special is this mare! Encina is from the renowned farm of Luis Arenas in Mexico that has produced many, many National Champions. So gentle and possessing such a loving motherly spirit, Encina is the matriarch of the farm.
Her conformation is exquisite with a short powerful back, hook high set neck and powerful pushing hind end. Encina is heterozygous gray and her foals have been all colors.
Truly a Grand Dame.

AUGUSTA:

This is the miracle mare everyone talks about. A purebred Andalusian in PINTO! Augusta is the cornerstone for the breeding program here at Tintagel and the story of her arrival is truly a wondrous one.
Augusta started her show career at age two and caused quite a sensation wherever she went. There is very little Gussie hasn’t won and most of her titles have been won while pregnant or nursing a foal! The color on this girl is so rare; she may be one of the most priceless of Andalusians.
Pretty, charming, and feminine. Gussie is a real lady and true princess. |

Aureolo VII x Caprichosa N
b. 1999 Pure Spanish grey
PEDIGREE, SHOW RECORD,
PICTURES AND MORE INFO
This is our famous Costosa, daughter of the Olympic dressage Andalusian Aureolo VII. This mare has such perfect movement it's stunning to watch. All the elevation and lift of a correct Spanish horse yet with extension and suspension that will make your jaw drop.
An athlete from the second she was born this filly could do pirouettes and clean tempi changes from one day old. She can also coil and spring into airs above the ground with such power it's staggering. She has the intelligence, character and drive that made her sire the International horse he was.

This stunning chestnut is a 3/4 sister to our stallion Diego and we liked him so much we bought this girl at three hours old!
She has all the square typey conformation of her dam with the height and substance of her sire. Emme started a successful show career but with her foals proving so spectacular she has been busy having babies ever since.
Emme is broke to ride and is an incredibly willing and soft partner. She is so well balanced she took to riding right away and enjoys her work immensely. You can see Emme smiling and beaming when you dismount and she takes extreme pride in being a successful riding horse as well as having proved herself an outstanding broodmare.
Emme is smart, opinionated and cheeky. Her ideas she keeps to herself…most of the time. There is always a spark in Emme’s eye and she’s always up to something. |

Jada adds a bit of outside blood into our breeding program. Jada is almost all old Terry blood with her dam line being from
old Military. Jada’s type is very different from our other mares and makes a nice niche with my stallions. She has a very lady-like, inquisitive nature and is gentle and soft. She has a fabulous neck from her grandsire, Jubiloso VIII, and straight legs with a long stride. Jada is the only mare I have from these bloodlines and her first foal proves the cross worked!

Peplow Mascot (Shire Horse) x Poppy (Drum horse)
b. 2000 black and white tobiano
PEDIGREE, SHOW RECORD,
PICTURES AND MORE INFO
The start of our Drum horse program. Sequin was born and bred in England
by a private stud that has been
producing these horses for several generations. Her grandsire is the well known Drum horse Seymour, and
her sire was the Champion Shire,
Peplow Mascot.
I loved this mare the minute I
saw her. Tall with plenty of leg,
good arched neck, clean throatlatch,
all the things needed to make a
good riding horse.
This mare and her offspring will
make for some really nice exhibition
horses or all around flashy pleasure animals. Sequin is true to her draft
ancestry and is quiet, affectionate
and loves all the new attention. |

b. 2004 Flaxen chestnut
PEDIGREE, SHOW RECORD,
PICTURES AND MORE INFO
Our latest addition to our Drum horse program. Trust us to scour the country and not only find one of the few flaxen chestnut purebred Clydesdales around AND one with such amazing riding horse conformation. Modern drafts are being bred for a lot of "set" in the hock and they like a croup steep enough for pulling those big wagons. I wanted a horse who was more suitable for riding. I don't know that I could have found better mare than Taxes.
Taxes gaits are quite
nice for such a big girl. Her walk is most impressive
with a regular long overstep and her trot has quite a bit of lift and thrust to it.

Zoe has been at Tintagel for years now. She came in as a training horse but then never left. We had been leasing her to breed and finally took the plunge and bought her ourselves! Zoe is trained to ride and drive and used for some lessons as well as her mommy duties. She is trick trained with a bow on each knee, kneel, Spanish walk, smiles, pedestal work, liberty work and a little piaffe. Zoe is a very substantial baroque Friesian with strength and good dressage gaits. And of course the HAIR….
Zoe is currently leased out to our good friend and student Kristen D. to help her practice her dressage on a kind and generous teacher. |

Big and strong yet very gentle and feminine, believe
it or not. Maude can take a cookie out of your hand ever so gently with just the tip of her lips. She is never rude or bargy or misbehaves. She can be very shy with people she doesn’t know, but once Maude decides you can be trusted, you have a stalwart friend.

1994 Oldenburg mare
PEDIGREE, SHOW RECORD,

Gwen came to us as an embryo recipient mare but turned out to be much more. Gwen arrived with no name, no pedigree, just a collar listing her as number 6064.
At 3 AM when she walked off the trailer
in the full moon I just gasped and said “WOW, now that's a beautiful mare!”
Her eye and whole face has such a
wisdom and maternal look to it. Even
right there in the moonlight I knew
she was special. Imagine my surprise
when I looked closer and saw the Oldenburg brand on her hip! |
