We are all just so in love with Taxes. She’s funny, sweet, and gentle with tons of personality. She really is a big kid with all the curiosity and enthusiasm at new things you would expect.

Her build is just fantastic with such a strong back, great croup and beautiful high set shapely neck. Her conformation is made for riding. Her gaits are remarkably light and uphill for her big size. She has considerable self carriage and throughness and shows all of this without being in work. I can’t wait to se her gaits develop even more with some work and age!

I was planning on using her as an embryo recipient and then breeding her on her own but she’s so good she will be too busy having her own babies for awhile! She is just so lovely. Sweet and quiet like they are supposed to be this mare is just a lot of fun to have around even if we all do have to watch our toes a bit more.

The only thing is that is ugly about Taxes is her docked tail. Done before I bought her it just makes me sad to see such an unnecessary procedure done to a horse’s spine. We are growing her tail hair in so at least she has something to swat flies with, as what little tail is there does work. This is a fashion that really needs to go out of style!
