The Big E - Springfield, MA - September 2001 & 2002

The Tintagel Gang!

Just after the events of 9/11/01 the whole Tintagel gang quickly regrouped our parade exhibition into a patriotic one.

Uther, of course, was our patriotic parade horse! The flowers the group were carrying were handed off to firemen at the firehouse we passed en route.

Prior to the event, we requested to follow the Hallamore Hitch who was playing patriotic tunes the whole route.

Uther pranced and led the way with our walkers following and throwing gold chocolate coins. The whole group was very popular with the emotional crowds.

Escorial was so popular in 2001 he was invited back to repeat his performance in 2002.

This we did and Escorial hind leg walked for even longer periods all around the parade route. He’s such a star!

This was the original parade entry, which went in the first day, as we needed a few extra days to get the patriotic routine done. Escorial looked stunning in his white sequined harness.

And yes, those are knee boots so he could safely bow on the pavement. Escorial was a real hit Spanish walking and hind leg walking down the fairway!
