Ernani, aka Ernie, is growing into the stunning guy I knew he would be. He has great big doe eyes and is solid black with just a tiny spot of white on one hind foot. He has a beautiful head bothinside and out. This colt is smart and highly trainable.

Ernie has started basic training and some tricks and the speed at which he learns is truly staggering. He learned to bow in one session, Spanish walk in one session, other bows, one session each. Lay down, you guessed it, second time he tried, he did it. A brain this trainable and eager to learn is such a rare find. He seems a natural for exhibition and liberty work yet his movement and conformation are so impressive a real serious sport career seems a natural fit as well.

Flexible and elastic are the words that describe his movement best. Ernie has an innate suppleness to his moves. His movement has incredible suspension and reach and is completely straight.

He shows adjustability and range within the gait and I expect that to only develop further. His build is one of balanced, medium proportions with long neck and super straight legs.

He is bold and confident yet listens and is attentive with calmness and focus. I have only just started finding out what he can do and the prospects of what he is capable of boggles the mind. I should ask him to develop his own lesson plans; I think he’s going to teach me a few things.
