Kitty got her name for even though she is one hefty gal, she is very feline and cat like. She will roll over and let you rub her belly while she makes the horsy version of purring. She also tries to accomplish cat likes jumps and stretches, some more successful than others….

Kitty has the biggest most clear eyes that you can see miles in. She is wise beyond her years and is very gentle and extremely friendly.

She is quite graceful and light on her feet despite being a very round and very solid and just a big girl! Kitty has the same perfect neck of her dam with strong arched shape and good length. Her back is short and couples with a very round hindquarter with low hamstring attachment giving her great strength and power from her hind end. All her parts sport well defined muscling and flow together in a tight yet smooth balance. She is a statement in strength and power yet with elegance and a noble countenance.

Her movement is straight and true with good elevation and nice loft. Kitty will be a solid and flexible riding horse, a powerful driving horse and a dependable all around pleasure to do anything with.

Her assets as a breeding mare are obvious with her large frame and tall height. Her cannons at four months old are almost mom’s length and Kitty should mature at least 17 hands if not an inch or so above that. She has great feather coming in already starting high up the leg above the knee and will be a very stunning mature mare.

Want to see some of her future? Just look at her full brother, Gunther, one of the most stunning Drums anywhere. These are great bloodlines and definitely a value to any breeder who wants to start with top stock!

Kitty is DNA tested eeaa meaning she is a chestnut with recessive agouti.

She can throw chestnut and black.

And of course you can’t get palomino without chestnut so she has great potential as a color producer.

Right now she is the only registered chestnut Drum filly in the US.
